Contact LensThe idea of contact lenses had been introduced by Leonardo da Vinci in 1508, & 300 years later it came in to being. Generally, for ages, glasses have been used for palliative use. Now, these shabby glasses are most often replaced by contacts. People wearing glasses always remain afraid for the fact that their spectacles may slip off, get wet or fog up. But these problems do not take place with contact lenses. So, sportsmen often prefer lenses than glasses. Patients who have had cataracts removed pick to use contacts in lieu of spectacles due to comfort. Moreover, in some cases or for some demanding vision syndromes such as keratoconus & aniseikonia, glasses fail, but these contacts are reported to provide better treatment. Contacts, for its wide viewing angle, give better side vision compared to glasses.
